The one place I would want to go to outside the United States, based on what we have learned, would have to have to be Russia. A lot as happened within the country it would be cool to see the marks, or scars left from the past. Learning about Russia has been very intersting, because all of the control switching, conquering, wars, nuclear explosions, etc. All the things that really kind of take my interst. Also they have some of the most beatiful tourists sites, landmarks, landforms, and places to see, in my opinion, some of the best in the workd. So not only do the beautiful attractions, atrract me to the country, but the history! That would be a huge reason to go, to see for myself what i have heard in world geography class, but maybe even to learn knew things as well.

One of the places I would want to visit in Russia, if I were to go!

Reflection;

The past two weeks have been pretty relaxed. I have gone back to volleyball in athletics and its been fun but nerve recking, we've learned so many new drills, and i don't know all of them. But other then that it has been fun,to get back in the hang of it. Also i have hung out a lot with my friends, enjoying the free weekends that I finally have. Also the excitment that there is only have four more weeks of school, have been making the weeks a little better.

If I had to chose any one thing from the twenty-first century to send to future generations, I would pick the telephone/cell phone. The reason for this is because, telephone companies and makers are always updating the style and "apps" of the same types of phones. Exspecially now since we are a more modern country, we have to keep up with times. And has our country grows more and more into moderation, sooner or later, things we use now, will start taking on different shapes and forms. We always laugh at our parents when they sit there and try to use a cell phone now, when they sit there and try to send a text message to someone but it takes them a good two minutes just send "where are you." Well just think when we get older, what type of technology they will have out there when we have kids. Our kids will be laughing at us because it takes us so long to figure out the new technology.
Communication is a very isentiual aspect for our everyday lives, and companies that work in the department of communication, are always finding knew and instresting was to stay intouch with others. Now there is texting, camera's, email, and calling on cellphones; when there use to only be a house phone that didn't have caller id, and you had to turn the little spiny thing to dial a number. If our modernaly growing nation has already come up with the cell phones we use today, just think of what they could come up with in the future. There are many people who are technologically intelligent and who want to create the next "hit" in the the technoligic world. And then there are the people who will buy whatever the have to have item is.
So by putting a basic cell phone in the time capsule, like the Iphone, pherhaps, it can show the future what we had, compared to what they have. And when we sit here and make fun of all the stuff our parents and grandparents had growing up, sooner or later the same thing will happen to us. Even if we think the Iphone or Ipad is the coolest thing to have, in the future it may not even be near has cool, as what is yet to come.

The region that I have enjoyed learning about the most would have to be South America. They have such great traditions, food, festivals, and beautiful land, in my opinion. They have the Andes mountions, located in western coast; The rich soiled grasslands called Pampas, the llanos for grazing the livestock, and they have the Amazon! They have resources such as, gold, silver, coper, iron, oil, coal, natural gas, and hydroelectric power. They have many Carriabean islands, that makes for good vacation destinatons. They have amazing styled dishes for food, with a little bit of spice, and fresh ingreditants, that some grow themselves.

They have very festive traditions, that are shared throughout towns, and the country.

The last two weeks have been really good! Though they have been busy, there have been some pretty fun things that have happened. I got my permitt on thursday which was pretty exciting. Ive been driving for a few days now! Its kind of scary but once you start getting the hang of it, it slowly gets better.
I have a few projects that are due in a few weeks, and Im going to try and get started on them so I won't end up doing them a couple of nights before it is due!

I don't know really what to say, so I'll just talk about the fact that Spring is here! One of the best things about spring is that we get a week off from school. We get to spend all day out in the sun, spend time with friends, and just relax and have the stress of school lifted off our shoulders. For me the best part of spring break is the sun! The weather has been cold and rainy so the warm sun feels really nice. This is also kind of a preview of what summer will be like, so it makes it that much more exciting. Now that we only have a few months left of school, I personally am getting anxious for summer. About three months of doing awesome things, and not having to worry about school.

I know this spring I'll be working on a little bit of volleyball since tryouts are in August, which seems like a while away, but not really!

The past two weeks have been pretty good, nothing much going on, at least in school. But i did just get piled up with projects, which isn't much fun.

Well that is pretty much all I have to say for this free topic!

Topic One

I use a lot of technology for different things, everyday! Some I use for communication, entertainment, school work, and staying connected with friends and the world. For example, I use my cell phone to text and call friends, but also for emergencies. I use the computer to stay connected with friends, and see what type of things are going on in the world. The tv is great for watching when I have nothing else to do, or when my faverite show is on. With all these technological devices, it has probably changed my life a good amount. But considering I've never really lived life without these things, I might not know exactly how much of a change it has on my life. But I do know that, technology brings you closer to not only society, but other countries and what is going on there but as well as the United States.
I think the computer would fit under the category of electricity, considering everytime you use one you use up electricity. Even though we use electricity for mulitple things I think it is safe to say that it is used from computers, since a majority of people do use one everyday!

The past few weeks or so, have been really good! I have spent a majority of my free time with my friends, which is a lot of fun! I have learned quite a few new and intresting stuff in most of my classes. And homework and projects haven't been that bad, so far. Basketball has been going ok, we have gotten better since the beginning of season, but i still miss volleyball. We have three games left in the season, and I hope that we win them. This weekend I'm going on a church retreat, which I think should be really fun, I just hope that the homework doesn't pile up on Sunday, when we get back! But also on Sunday I am hoping to see Dear John, which I'm really excited about, the book was good, so I'm hoping the movie reaches my expectations!

8th Topic: Genocide in Darfur

In my opinion, the Militant did the most wrong doing on the innocent lives of hundreds of thousands of people. They have used murder, rape, organized starvation, and displacement on innocent human beings, that are even their people. I believe the Militant has the power to stop the geniode in Darfur, but instead they contuine to bring pain and suffering to the innocent. Also, using children as soliders to me is just plan wrong and evil. Teaching children to kill with no mercy just isn't right. Like people say, "there is a little bit of evil in all of us", well there seems to be to much evil in the Militant, who can still sleep at night knowing they are killing women, children, and men of all ages, and for what...?

These last two weeks have been very stressfull! With finals just around the corner, Im trying to get some study time in for each class, but on top of that Im always loaded with homework and also basketball. But the only thing Im looking forward to will be the Chirstmas break!

Well a couple things that I am really passionate about are volleyball and my religion! When i was in middle school I liked volleyball, but when i got into high school, I found that I had a raging passion for it! When Im are out there on the court I just get this adrenaline rush, with the crowd cheering, it really gets my energy level up!
Also religion is a huge thing for me! I'm really passionate about Jesus! Im currently in my Church's youth group, Saint Albert the Great. We have a really good time in there, meeting new people, and learning about God. In the youth group we don't just sit around and talk, we play games, do skits, and much more. And i know that Im lucky because very few youth groups do that!
In my free time i like to hang out with my friends and family. I hate doing homework, so its more of an escape from school! But also i like cooking. To me it's really fun to make just some random things when you are bored.

These last two weeks have been really kind of hard for me! I had gotten my phone taken up by my parents so it was a really long two weeks. I have also been in basketball, and Im hating all the condition stuff that we have to. But this weekend i will be getting a break from all of that, because I get to go to TRAVELS :) it's this big Church retreat, and i know that it is going to be the best! It will also be lots of fun to meet new people from other Church's as well. There will be about 180 kids there, so i know that will make even better!
